Good Morning Britain viewers have praised host Susanna Reid for cutting an interview with a Just Stop Oil protester short after challenging his comments.
Just Stop Oil spokesperson Sam Johnson appeared on the ITV show to discuss the environment activist group's protest methods, after protestors demanding that the Government commit to ending new fossil fuel licensing and production caused travel chaos by blocking the M25 this week. But Susanna was quick to refute a claim made by the spokesperson that the media "isn't talking about the issues regarding climate change".
"Have you watched this programme?" the host asked Mr Johnson, to which the protester admitted that he hadn't. "Right, ok, so you don't have any idea what this programme does," Susanna pointed out.

Pointing to GMB's weather presenter Laura Tobin, Susanna went on: "You have no idea who our meteorologist is, Laura Tobin, who is one of the most outspoken people on climate change - who has written an entire book talking about what we each need to do as individuals on climate change.
"And you have the audacity to come on here and say that we're completely distracted, that we're not talking about the issues? We talk about them every single morning, Sam," the host continued.
"You're not getting people on your side, including people who would naturally be sympathetic to your cause. Sorry, and I'm going to end it there, because you've already said you don't watch and you don't care."
Viewers were quick to praise Susanna on social media for shutting down Mr Johnson's comments. "Good for you Susanna, you were brilliant," one fan wrote on Twitter.
"Well done Susanna for putting him in his place," another viewer applauded.
A third added: "Well said Susanna, why would anyone not watch or research about a programme they are going on."
However, some criticised the handling of the conversation. "This whole interview was an utter ridiculous. Ed Balls ranting and Susanna having a hissy fit," one viewer tweeted. "They didn't let him speak, it wasn't balanced it was three on to one. In a school yard this would be seen as bullying."
"Feeling sick at Susannah Reid's bullying this morning; plus the abuse of her position, talking over someone and then shutting them down," another said. "Millions of us are with the protesters and she shows no understanding of the seriousness of the situation."
