Good Morning Britain host Richard Madeley confirmed on air that he is taking a 'lengthy' break from the show. The broadcaster presented the show on Wednesday, August 10 where he focused on the rising cost of living which is increasing due to energy prices.
Madeley interviewed Education Secretary James Cleverly about why the Conservative government isn't doing anything to help people affected by the price increases. The host claimed he avoided his co-host's question in the fiery debate, wrote the Liverpool Echo.
He said: "I have to hold you to an answer, and if you’re not answering the question, you will be interrupted." Madeley mentioned earlier on the show that it would be his last time appearing on the show "for a while".

He said: "We have a result as we started doing this last Tuesday, August 2 or Wednesday, August 3. It's a bit earlier but I'm not on the show for a while, so I thought I'd show you what we've got so far."
