Good Morning Britain's Laura Tobin shares reason for break from ITV

Good Morning Britain star Laura Tobin has announced that she is taking a break from ITV.

The weather presenter, 41, announced the decision in an Instagram story post on Monday. In the post she said that she may also be absent from social media for a very sweet reason.

As it is the Easter holidays, the ITV presenter said that she wanted to focus on her family. She wrote: "I'm on leave for the first week of the Easter holidays & spending time with the family, mostly enjoying the [sun emoji] & eating chocolate."

Laura continued to explain that her time away from work may also extend to a break from social media, too. However, she confirmed a date when she would be back on our screens.

She said: "So I probably won't post that much. Have a lovely Easter & see you @gmb A week on Wednesday".

Laura has been a feature on the popular ITV show for 10 years after leaving the BBC to join the new Daybreak programme, which was replaced by GMB in 2014.

The school holidays will also see stars Phillip Schofield and Holly Willoughby away from the screen, with the This Morning stars being replaced by Alison Hammond and Dermot O'Leary. ITV also revealed last week that Lorraine Kelly will also be off, with her spot being taken by Ranvir Singh.
