Laura Tobin told viewers of Good Morning Britain that Storm Eunice is the 'most powerful storm to hit the UK in at least 30 years' as many parts of the country felt the impact of extreme weather on Friday morning.
Just a day after gale force winds from Storm Dudley caused traffic and travel chaos an left thousands of homes without power in the North East and other region, Eunice began to make its presence felt in the early houses of Friday.
Some areas woke up to substantial snow on the country while, as seen on GMB, other regions were battered by high winds.

As she prepared to give her final forecast of Friday's show, Laura showed a video of waves battering Plymouth seaside, before she told them: "This is actually the most powerful storm we've seen in the UK in at least the last 30 years."
She continued: "These winds gusts that are now 40-50mph are going to get to 80-90mph in the south west, then by 10/11 this morning the firing line is central and southern areas of England.
"Then look how then pick up to 60-70mph this afternoon through south eastern areas of England."
Hitting home the fact that Storm Eunice won't just impact the south, Laura added: "The storm isn't just in the south; it covers all areas of the UK.
"Snow and blizzards in the north. Widespread strong winds until 9 o'clock this evening, up to 80-90mph.
"The strength of the wind and rain today means that we have severe flood warnings in force.
"The risk of flooding and the strength of wind continuing to increase as we head through the next few hours, before it decays later this evening."
