Kate Garraway was forced to comment on "heartbreaking" scenes during Good Morning Britain on Thursday as she hit out a "brutal" comments.
The presenter was joined by entertainment reporter Richard Arnold to discuss the latest episode of Love Island. The South African villa was left reeling from the first recoupling of the winter series, which saw newcomer Tom Clare, 23, couple up with ring girl Olivia Hawkins, 27.
This meant Will Young, 23, was left single and vulnerable to the first elimination, so he decided to crack on with other girls in the villa during Wednesday's instalment of the popular dating show.

Good Morning Britain played the clip which saw the farmer pull Lana Jenkins, 25, for a chat on the beanbags to explain he was most interested in her in the villa, the Mirror reports.
Will said: “I fancy you the most. You're definitely the girl I would go for looks wise.” Lana replied: “I think you're lovely, but I don't think we've really got that spark. Maybe that's just now.
"At the minute it's not there for me. I would rather be straight with you.”
In the ITV studio, host Kate was left noticeably uncomfortable at the scene as she described it as "brutal". The 55-year-old said: “It’s that awful way where they sort of go ‘right’, trying to look like it doesn’t matter. It’s just heartbreaking.”
Entertainment reporter Richard Arnold replied: “He’s like a little puppy going around there at the moment, isn’t he? Our Will. The farmer hasn’t had the easiest start to life in the villa, but at least there’s lots of love for him in the Twitterverse.
“Everybody encouraged Love Island bosses to get a girl in there for him.”
Footballer Tom, who was the first bombshell arrival into the South African villa, had all the power as he chose to pinch Olivia from Will’s side. Fresh from the re-coupling at the firepit, Will headed over to Tom and said of his new coupling with Olivia: “Honestly, you are well better suited.”
Will then joked: “It just means that I've got to graft a little harder now.” The farmer has swapped life in the countryside for the luxury villa in South Africa as the new series of Love Island kicks off.
Will, from Buckinghamshire, is hoping to find the one after years working as a farmer on his family's £1million estate, where he films his viral TikTok videos.
