Good Market returns with 35 independent stalls to take over Lush in Liverpool

Lush's huge flagship Liverpool store is set to be taken over by Good Market this weekend.

The popular cosmetics company specialises in cruelty free skincare, hair care and body care products and boasts an army of loyal fans. Its Church Street store is the biggest in the world and often plays host to a number of events including drag brunches, film screenings and more.

This Saturday, June 25, the vast building will be taken over by Good Market, which will be trading from 11am until 5pm. The top floor of Lush is set to become a hub of creativity as the market welcomes more than 35 local independents.

Good Market is part of Good Liverpool. Good Liverpool has been operating for two years and was a direct response to the coronavirus pandemic. It was an attempt to allow local businesses to continue selling as they shut up shop during lockdowns, via an e-commerce marketplace.

Good Market returns after a successful outing in Liverpool last summer, with its second take-over set to be even bigger. Uniting music, creatives and positivity, its markets can be a pop-in or an all day affair.

Those shoppers in the mood for a lengthy peruse will also be able to take advantage of Lush's on-site café. Good Market supports the retailer's ethos that "all business should be ethical, and all trade should be fair".

With its purpose-driven focus, Good Market aims to ensure its traders are giving back. Be it to their community, charity or the earth, there has to be good in their business model.

There'll be a range of independent goodies to choose from this weekend, with candles, homeware, jewellery, art and more on offer. As with all Good Markets, children are welcome and dogs are encouraged.
