A golf coach who has worked with former world No.1 Jason Day has been found guilty of indecent treatment.
Sean Patrick Lynch, 68, had been accused of engaging in multiple indecent acts with a "gifted" junior golfer from April 2017 until December 2019.
Lynch, who had earned a reputation as a successful "mind coach", pleaded not guilty to 11 charges in the District Court in Brisbane.
The jury, which began deliberations on Thursday morning, have found Lynch guilty on two counts of indecent treatment of a child under 16 under care.
However, he was found not guilty of possessing child exploitation material as well as three counts of indecent treatment of a child under 16.
The jury could not reach a verdict on a grooming charge and four more counts of indecent treatment of a child under 16.
Judge Vicki Loury has asked the jury to resume deliberations on the five charges.
