Following interior design trends to a tee can be fun, but it isn't the best way to ensure longevity in your spaces. Instead, the most timeless spaces come together in an artful combination of classic design with a few trending pieces mixed in. Goldie Hawn's living room perfectly embodies this balance with her use of a shag rug.
The actress shared her living room idea in an Instagram video, where she perches on a yellow armchair, revealing the room's traditional design. Her space includes hardwood floors, and white walls. Behind her, a beautiful fireplace featuring bold black marble with white carefully designed inlay is a striking focal point in the room. Modern accessories like pothos plants on either side of the television ground the space in 2024. A long stranded, white shag rug brings it all together.
