Prithviraj Kothari, managing director at RiddiSiddhi Bullions Ltd., president of IBJA says, "Gold prices fell last week as renewed US-Iran military strikes near the Strait of Hormuz revived inflation fears and hawkish Fed bets. Fed minutes showed a divided committee, with September rate-hike odds rising to 62-64%. China's central bank bought 14.93 tonnes of gold in June, its biggest monthly purchase since 2023. This week's focus: US CPI data and Fed Chair Warsh's Congressional testimony, with gold's next move hinging on US-Iran developments. Gold's next move depends heavily on how the US-Iran situation unfolds. Holding above $4,135 (Rs 1,45,000) could open the door to $4,200 (Rs 1,48,000) and $4300 (Rs 1,52,000), while a slip below $4,030 (Rs 1,41,000) risks a deeper pullback toward $3950 (Rs 1,39,000) and $3900 (Rs 1,37,500)."
