Gold outlook
Prithviraj Kothari, managing director at RiddiSiddhi Bullions Ltd., president of IBJA says, "Gold and silver closed a volatile week caught between US–Iran conflict risk, a hawkish-leaning Fed, and a sharply weaker dollar. The FOMC held rates at 3.50–3.75%, with three dissenters favouring a hike; markets now price a 63–65% chance of a September hike, not a cut. Iran's July 28 missile strike on a US base briefly shattered a ceasefire before fresh US airstrikes and renewed Trump-led peace talks pushed gold back above $4100. The Dollar Index fell below 100, lifting the rupee to 95.35/USD. WGC data showed record Q2 central bank buying offsetting Western ETF outflows, while Asian demand stayed resilient. Gold and Silver have been trading range bound from last one month and Gold needs to sustain above $4200 (~Rs 145,000) and Silver above $62 (~Rs 227,000) to resume the uptrend."
