Gokulam Kerala FC continued their dominance of Indian domestic circuit as they became the first club to win both the I-League and Indian Women's League titles during the same season after their women's team clinched their second straight IWL crown defeating Sethu FC 3-1 at the Kalinga Stadium, Bhubaneswar on Thursday.
The Kerala outfit are also now the only Indian club in history to win back-to-back men's and women's national league titles. Gokulam men had defended their I-League title earlier this month while the women had to wait longer for their second title after the 2020-21 IWL season was cancelled due to the Covid-19 pandemic.
