Newcastle United fans are delighted after seeing Alexander Isak and Callum Wilson will start together for the huge clash with Arsenal. Eddie Howe has named the in-form duo in the starting eleven together for the first time this season, following several exciting cameo displays.
Newcastle have had a full week to prepare to the top-of-the-table clash with the Gunners, following a frantic run of victories over Tottenham, Everton and most recently Southampton. Howe unsurprisingly rotated during this sequence of three matches in eight days, but has made just once change for this latest encounter with Anthony Gordon dropping to the bench.
Nick Pope will be protected by the usual backline of Kieran Trippier, Fabian Schar, Sven Botman and Dan Burn. Bruno Guimaraes will likely be supported by both Joelinton and Joe Willock in midfield, with Jacob Murphy forming the frontline with Isak and Wilson.

The strikers have been heralded as Newcastle's 'Plan B' in recent weeks, but have now been given the chance to replicate this impact from the outset. Here is how Magpies supporters reacted to the latest news.
@ElBlancoooooo: "When you see Almiron (+10 Goals) and Saint-Maximin on the bench you know that something big is happening for NUFC future."
@northeastste: "Be Wilson up top and Isak left wing so not quite playing together as strikers nevertheless still a positive seeing them both in the starting eleven together. HWTL."
@SimonRudd26: "Now that’s a tasty looking lineup Wilson & Isak both starting! Maxi & Almiron on the bench this could be a difficult game for Arsenal this afternoon."
@tynetakes: "Nice to see Isak and Wilson starting- clearly going for it Worry about being overrun in midfield with 3 attack minded midfielders. Huge shift needed from all of them today Crowd will be bouncing and hopefully we will feed off it. They’ll be up for it too, huge game. HWTL."
@curtlynedd: "Howe going for it. He's getting ready for Champions League nights. Going strong means he is ready!"
@Christo66733491: "That’s about the strongest we are at the moment… strong bench as well. Gonna need 3 or 4 to beat arsenal today… will be a 3-2 or 4-3 kind of game."
