Former Gogglebox favourites the Tapper family have shared their extraordinary weight loss story that has seen father and daughter lose six stone between them. Mum Nikki, dad Jonathan and siblings Josh and Amy delighted viewers with their funny banter, and comical bickering.
The Tappers appeared on the show for five years before calling it a day. Amy has wowed fans recently after she overhauled her lifestyle - a move that has seen her lose an incredible 33cm from around her waist.
Earlier this year, she shared an update with her followers, showing how her body has changed since adopting a new diet plan. At the time, Amy said: "I’ve grabbed life by the goals [...] and I’ve lost 33cm around my waist, gained a huge love for the gym and just feel so good in myself!"
And Amy isn't the only member of her family to undergo a huge health transformation. Dad Jonathan has also lost three stone in recent years, as seen in the LiverpoolEcho.
Jonathan believes his weight loss may have stopped him from dying. The coronavirus pandemic nearly had a devastating impact on the family as dad Jonathan was left fighting for his life.
The 52-year-old was left struggling to breathe. Thankfully, however, he made a full recovery and believes his slimmer figure helped him get better.
On Tuesday, Amy shared some before and after photos of her dad on Instagram. She said: "In 2019 dad lost just under 3 stone with MuscleFood Goal Getters! I’m so so proud of what my dad and I achieved back then in just 12 Weeks, even more so that he has maintained his weight for this health and joined me back on the @mfgoalgettersuk plan!
"Back in 2019 dad was diagnosed with Type 2 diabetes after the weight crept on and we decided it was time to make a change!" People rushed to praise the former reality TV star in the comments.
Former Blue band member Antony Costa said: "Love that go on Johnny". Rebecca Anthon said: "Aww fantastic Mr Tapps. He looks incredible xx".
Sam Crawford said: "Sorry can’t cope! Wow x". Tracey Smith said: "Omg u have done so so well. Keep it up" [sic]
