Gogglebox's Siddiqui family confirm future on show and least favourite part about filming

The popular Siddiquis have responded to rumours about their Gogglebox future. The family - comprising of dad Sid and his sons Raza, Umar and Baasit - have starred in the Channel 4 show since 2013.

Since then, the Derby-based family have become fan-favourite cast members. They often make viewers laugh with their witty views on what is going on around the world.

As reported by the Daily Star, the family confirmed their future in a recent Instagram question and answer session. And much to the delight of fans, the family confirmed they are sticking around for a bit long on the show.

They also revealed their least favourite part about filming the show. Regular viewers of Gogglebox will know it features programmes like Naked Attraction.

It's fair to say the younger generation of the Siddiquis could do without it. They said: "Not a fan of watching things like Sex Box with our dad though, that was a little bit awkward."

The brothers continued: "We like to watch a variety of things and Gogglebox does allow us to watch stuff we possibly wouldn't have."

The family have been on the show for 10 years now. During filming, Umar and Baasit will sit down with dad Sid, with brother Raza making occasional appearances, twice a week for the show.

Umar told Radio Times earlier this year: "What we do is very simple – it's just blokes talking in front of the camera. The genius comes afterwards, with the editing.

"Each bit of it is like a long joke told by several different families. And then one family is given the task of the punch line."

Raza told the publication: "The way I see it is I’m going to go and meet Dad and Umar and Baasit, we’re going to watch TV. And we’re going to take the mick out of each other and enjoy ourselves.”
