Googlebox has introduced a new Scottish couple for the first time in six years.

Familiar faces have also made a comeback, including the much loved Malone family, siblings Sophie and Pete Sandiford and best friends Jenny and Lee.

At the end of last year the Gogglebox production team announced that they would be looking for new Scots to take part after receiving complaints about the lack of Scottish representation on the programme.
Glasgow-based couple Roisin and Joe made their debut as they watched Love Is Blind, Starstruck, Bradley & Barnley Walsh: Breaking Dad, BBC News during last week's episode.
Gogglebox welcomed them to the show's cast by announcing their arrival on Instagram, to which one of the show's favourites, Izzi Warner, said she "couldn't wait".
But now that we have met them on screen, who are they off screen?
Who are Roisin and Joe on Gogglebox?
Joe is 25 and Roisin is 23. They are a couple who have been together for four years and live at Joe’s family home in Glasgow, having moved in together at the beginning of lockdown.
Roisin loves shopping, getting dressed up and socialising with friends.
Joe loves playing video games, pizza making and spending time with Roisin.
They are the first Scottish people to appear on Gogglebox since the Manuel family - who last featured on the show six years ago.
What are Roisin and Joe's real jobs when not on Gogglebox?
The Mirror reports that Roisin works full time at BBC Scotland as a Social Media Producer according to her LinkedIn profile. She also hosts a weekly podcast called The Love/Hate Club with Cassi Gillespie.
Not much is currently known about Joe but more could be revealed the longer that they appear on the show.
Gogglebox airs Friday at 9pm on Channel 4
