The days are gradually getting shorter and there's been a dip in temperatures too - a fact that didn't go unnoticed in this week's episode of Gogglebox. As ever, the stars of the Channel 4 show were seen reviewing the past seven days' TV highlights, but Pete Sandiford and his little sister Sophie found time for a chat about the changing seasons too.
And the conversation at their home in Blackpool ended in some embarrassment for Pete - as well as more than a little amusement for Sophie.
Pete said: "Well, it's coming up to the winter months isn't it? Bulking season starts now. I've got to get my workouts in."
In reply, Sophie joked "Macaulay Bulkin", to which Pete responded: "Yeah, Dame Judi Hench."
Pete then started making exaggerated, bodybuilder-like roaring noises as he demonstrated his fitness prowess by doing press-ups on top of the sofa, clapping his hands between each go - to which Sophie rolled her eyes unimpressed. Then he took a breath and threw down a gauntlet to himself, saying: "One arm."
Unfortunately Pete failed miserably in his attempt to do a one-armed press-up, collapsing immediately onto the couch much to his sister's mirth. She shrieked with laughter, saying "No!" as he was left kneeling on the cushions in silent dismay.
