Viewers of popular Channel 4 show Gogglebox were left in stitches as they tuned into the show on Friday night after the show’s much loved families settled down on the sofa to watch the week’s top telly.
Kicking things off this week, a Red Nose Day special of ‘This is MY House’ a household identity challenge in which four celebrities walked into a home were tasked with trying to convince a handful of contestants that the house belonged to them - with the caveat being that only one was telling the truth.
The home, which featured a unique set of bedazzled door handles and even boasted a cinema room with sex and the city stars pictured on the wall - belonged to one of four people. It could have been Robert Rinder, Deborah Meaden, Claire Richards or Ricky Hatton.

Making their guesses, several families were convinced the home belonged to Claire from STEPS, but in a shocking twist that stunned even Gogglebox favourites Izzy and Ellie Warner, the home belonged to boxer Ricky Hatton!
It was an episode of Discovery+ show Haunted Hospital that had fans in stitches however, as they took to social media to lambast the overly dramatic reactions of the families as they watched the spooky program.
In scenes aired in tonight’s episode - which purported to be based on a true story, a former nurse entered an abandoned hospital where she was faced with a ‘terrifying’ spectre that proceeded to possess her friend!
The Gogglebox stars were spooked by the scenes, with many screaming, shying away, or jumping in fright from the sinister apparitions, but viewers tuning into watch their reactions couldn’t hide their amusement at just how dramatic their reactions appeared to be.
“What in the GCSE Drama are we all watching here?” quipped @SarahRogers95
While @canispeaktodave replied “The only thing scary about Haunted Hospitals is the acting.”
“30 seconds in and Sophie and Pete are at it again. Never gets old” commented @J_R_2018 following the pair’s hilarious display of shock.
@LilMissMystic also shared her thoughts tweeting “I’m usually a big girl’s blouse (literally and figuratively), who jumps higher than an athlete when someone creeps up behind me, but I didn’t think that the clips from “Haunted Hospitals” were scary at all."
@mikestanford01 also questioned the reactions. “Seriously that hospital horror looked awful, how could they be frightened of that!?”
Others were a little more tongue in cheek, such as @Furburg who tweeted “Is that horror thing is that meant to be a true account, cos that ghost looked a bit Voldemort?”
@TheeJellybean also didn’t hold any punches as they shared their thoughts on the reactions.“ Honestly though, are they paid to give positive reviews of certain programmes on @C4Gogglebox? Acting like Haunted Hospital is some terrifying, masterful piece of cinematography when it looked like the s****e videos you made at sleepovers in year 8.”
Before @JimBlower rounded things off with a question that makes a fair point with his tweet. “Why do ghosts only ever appear when it's dark anyway?”
