Gogglebox star Izzi Warner has been flooded with support after she proudly shared her latest achievement with fans. The TV star returned to the small screen at the end of last week as the Channel 4 hit show made a comeback after months off air.
Izzi was back alongside older sister Ellie Warner from her home in Leeds as the 20th series of Gogglebox kicked off with more laughs, tears and one-liners from the nation's favourite armchair critics, which also included Blackpool sibling duo Pete and Sophie Sandiford, best pals Jenny and Lee and the Siddiqui family.
And just a couple of days after the show returned to screens, Izzi was seen on social media beaming with pride as she completed her first-ever 10-mile run.
She shared a beaming selfie of herself holding up her medal and looked glam while doing so as she slicked her blond locks back out of her faces and wore some makeup as she made it to the finish line of the local race. "Blew the cobwebs off this morning with my first ever 10 mile run," she typed alongside the post on Sunday (February 26).
"Absolutely buzzing with myself considering this time last year I wouldn’t of even run for a bus! Big love to all my running club family, who without I would of defo quit by now." And that's not going to be the end of it as Izzi then teased: "Next stop half marathon."
Ellie, who is currently expecting her first child, was among the first to respond, writing in the comments: "Well done izzi! Super proud." And her Gogglebox co-stars were among the first to send their congratulatory messages. David Griffiths, who runs a joint account for himself and wife Shirley, said: "Well done you, I couldn't run a bath," alongside a crying laughing emoji.
Jenny and Lee, who also share an Instagram account, typed after a string of clapping emojis. "Wow. Well done Izzi you go girl." Daniel Lustig, who stars on the show with husband Stephen Webb but was missing from the first episode of the series, typed: "Well done Izzi you’re an athlete."
Siblings Simon and Jane, who also share a social media account, shared: "Amazing! Congratulations Izzi, that’s brilliant." Former Googlebox star Mica Ven also posted: "Aww big up yaself Izzi. Proud of you sis." Lisa Baggs, who left the show last year alongside her family, added: "Well done Izzi! That’s amazing!"
And fans were also quick to share messages. @rikki.runs commented: "Great job!! If you can do 10 miles, a half marathon is no problem!!" @hughes4843 said: "Well done, you certainly don't look like you have just run 10 miles xxx." @watershaus wrote: "YES! well done izzi that’s amazing - you should be super proud."
@chelseadavies92 commented: "A huge well done! Such an achievement. You should be so proud of yourself and your looking [fire emojis]." @ljsanderson69 shared: "That’s fantastic, you look so fresh you wouldn’t know you had run 10 miles." @imsorrywhat1 added: "You look unreal after as well. What a hun!"
It comes after Izzi showed the 'next generation' of Goggleboxers. She took to Instagram with a sweet snap of her two children, Bobby and Betsy, sat where her and Ellie could usually be found when filming for Gogglebox. "The next generation of telly watchers," she captioned the sweet snap which soon captured her followers' attention.
Auntie Ellie replied: "So cute love them so much." Georgia Bell, who welcomed her first child into the world last year, also replied: "Adorable!!!!"
