Gogglebox fans were delighted to see a long-term cast member on their screens tonight as Ellie Warner made a return to the Channel 4 show.
Warner took a break from the show after her boyfriend, Nat, was in a serious accident. Early tweets from the show which saw Ellie and her sister Izzi return to Gogglebox celebrated the pair’s return.
Viewers saw Ellie phoning her boyfriend Nat on loudspeaker, regarding wedding plans as she joked about his desire for a ‘shotgun wedding’. Viewers welcomed Izzi’s return to the show.

One of the shocker moments of the show for both the Gogglebox cast members as well as Twitter users was when Maeva from Made In Chelsea proposed to James and he said no. ‘What made you think this was a good idea’ James said in response to Maeva's proposal. The Gogglebox screen then cut to one of the three Plummer Bristolian brothers from the Gogglebox casting bursting out in laughter.
@mikepriestley13 wrote ’Is she going to throw a drink over someone this week because he said no.. run James run #Gogglebox’. @OmoladeBadmus21wrote ‘’#Gogglebox Maeva is pissed got rejected by James, ‘Maeva: He said no to me’ #MadeInChelsea’.
Netflix’s The Circle was also highlighted in tonight’s Gogglebox episode. It spotlighted Spice Girls Mel B and Emma Bunton who was catfishing. Cast members were pleasantly surprised to see this British casting included in the usually completely American Netflix series.
The new series of Ross Kemp's Shipwreck Treasure Hunter was also highlighted in Gogglebox this evening. Viewers saw Georgia from the Gogglebox cast saying ‘’sorry I can’t watch Ross Kemp die tonight’’. Kemp's show saw him dive into the sea but soon discovered his breathing kit was faulty.
Thankfully he managed to make it out safely.
