Gogglebox star Ellie Warner’s boyfriend Nat Eddleston has been spotted up on his feet for the first time since his near fatal accident.
Nat was left fighting for his life back in March after he was hit by a car – with injuries including a punctured lung and fears he could have been left brain damaged.
Fans will be encouraged to know that Nat has been spotted out and about and wearing a head brace that is supporting his neck and skull.
He was seen shopping for groceries at a high street supermarket in Leeds on Tuesday – while 31-year-old Channel 4 star Ellie was not seen with him.
Reports have suggested the brace that Nat was seen wearing was “a halo brace” and the contraction is “worn following a spinal cord injury to keep the head properly aligned so that the injury heals”.
The Sun have published photos of Nat outside, and report: “He impressively hit the shops and was able to walk with two bags of groceries.”
Nat has appeared on Gogglebox in the past where his girlfriend Ellie and her 29-year-old sister Izzi both star on the sofa.
Ellie took time off the show while Nat battled for his life in hospital and she recently dedicated her birthday to a charity that specialises in treating patients with brain injuries.
She wrote online: "For my birthday this year, I'm asking for donations to Headway - the brain injury association.
"I've chosen this charity because their mission means a lot to me, and I hope that you'll consider contributing as a way of celebrating with me."
Ellie finally made her return to screens this month - much to the delight of Gogglebox viewers.
Ahead of her return, she wrote online: "Looking forward to getting back on your screens tonight! Thank you for all the well wishes, we are really grateful that things are getting back to normal."
One well-wisher wrote online: "Shocked to see you tonight but Brilliant to see you back on TV tonight hope Nat is getting better."
And another gushed: "So good to see Izzi & Ellie back on #gogglebox this evening. Hope Nats recovery is going well !! #leeds #c4," a second added, as a third wrote: "I'm glad Ellie and Izzi are back I've missed them #Gogglebox."
During an episode, Ellie hinted Nat is her forever lover, as she discussed her plans to tie-the-knot with him.
She said: "I said to Nat this morning, when we get married what type of wedding do you want? And he went: 'A shotgun wedding!" Ellie recalled to sister Izzi.
She continued: "So I said 'ooo does that mean you want me to be pregnant before we get married?' and he said 'no'. I actually want to know what he thought a shotgun wedding was.
Ellie then went on to call Nat to ask him to elaborate, with Nat admitting he thought the term meant the groom was "forced to get married" - with the two sisters laughing at his revelation.
