Gogglebox star, Ellie Warner, has asked fans to donate money to a brain injury charity, following the near-death of her partner, Nat Eddleston. Nat was left fighting for his life after being hit by a car earlier this year, the accident left him with numerous injuries including a broken neck.
Ellie had been absent from Gogglebox for a while following the accident, as she came to terms with Nat's accident and made sure that she was there for him. The 31-year-old usually appears on the Channel 4 show alongside her sister, Izzi.
Brain injury charity, Headway, offered help and support to Ellie and Nat during the ordeal and Ellie is now asking for her followers to donate money to them if they are able to.
The 31-year-old Gogglebox fan favourite was absent from the Channel 4 show following the incident and received help and support from brain injury charity Headway, which helps survivors and their families, the Mirror reports.
The Channel 4 star is now spearheading a campaign to help those suffering brain injuries and support the charity. Writing on Facebook, she said: "For my birthday this year, I'm asking for donations to Headway - the brain injury association.
"I've chosen this charity because their mission means a lot to me, and I hope that you'll consider contributing as a way of celebrating with me. Every little bit will help me reach my goal.
"Headway's mission is to promote the understanding of all aspects of brain injury and to provide vital information, support and services to people with a brain injury, their families and carers. Facebook takes care of the donation processing with no fees."
Nat was left with a broken neck and back and two collapsed lungs following the car accident in Leeds. He also needed life support following the horror crash, which happened on March 18.
A source told MailOnline that Nat and Ellie have been "to hell and back", but said that Ellie is now "determined" to make the best of it by using it as a launchpad to help other people going through similar. They added: "She hopes people will join the crusade so they can raise lots of money for an amazing cause. Nat has received great care and Ellie is determined to make sure help is there when others need it like her and Nat did."
Ellie and her sister, Izzi, joined the Gogglebox team in 2015 and, in 2020, Nat stepped in to cover when Izzi took a brief hiatus from the show.
