Policed have issued an update on the investigation surrounding Gogglebox star Ellie Warner's boyfriend Nat Eddleston, who was left with serious injuries after being struck by a car on a night out last month.
Nat was hit by a car in Leeds on Friday, March 18 and is said to have suffered a broken neck and collapsed lung as a result. It was also claimed that his loved ones were concerned he'd been left brain damaged after the collision near a pub in the Halton area of the city, as support came flooding in for Ellie and Nat on social media. Police asked witnesses to the incident to get in touch, with a statement reading: "The pedestrian remains in a critical but stable condition in hospital and enquiries into the incident are ongoing."
And now West Yorkshire Police have issued a new statement, saying they have spoken to the driver and confirming to The Sun "the driver was questioned" after the incident. Ellie and sister Izzi haven't been seen on Gogglebox since the accident happened, with sources claiming that Ellie has been given 'as much time as she needs,' from the Channel 4 show and is still being paid her full salary for the current series, despite not taking part in filming since the first few episodes.

Earlier this month, sources claimed that Ellie had barely left Nat's hospital bedside, since he'd been rushed into intensive care, with an insider saying: "Ellie has barely left Nat’s side since the accident. She has been holding his hand and willing him to get better. Her heart is totally ripped in two by all of this and she is still in a state of shock about how things have ended up. Right now all that Ellie is focusing on is making sure she is there for Nat, nothing else matters."
Gogglebox fans and Ellie's co-stars have posted messages of support for her and Nat on pictures of the couple posted on Instagram, which Elie has also been absent from since Nat's accident. In the comments section of one photo, one fan wrote: "Hey girly, you keep those thoughts positive. I broke my back and neck in 5 places and I’m up and about. Nat’s absolutely got this!! Sending big hugs your way." A second wrote: "Sending lots of love, hugs and prayers to you, Nat and your family...can't be easy at all what you're going through."
