Gogglebox's Denise Van Outen's 'mystery man' named as star walks the red carpet

Celebrity Gogglebox star Denise Van Outen has been spotted out with a new man. The 48-year-old's high profile breakup with fiancé Eddie Boxshall hit the headlines in January but it seems she may have found a new love.

Since her split, Denise has been sharing the Gogglebox sofa with good friend, Blue's Duncan James. However, it was with her new boyfriend, Jimmy Barba, that she made her red carpet debut, according to the Mirror. The couple attended the 12th annual Grand Prix Ball in aid of the Global Gift Foundation on Wednesday, June 29.

It is understood that Denise was introduced to her new man by a mutual friend, All Saints singer Shaznay Lewis. Pictured in a stunning sequined dress alongside her dinner suited partner, Denise beamed as she posed for pictures before walking the red carpet to the event.

The ball was Denise's first public appearance with the Jimmy, a 55-year-old property developer. While not much is known about Barba, the 'mystery man' does own Whiteditch Lane Development LTD and is an Arsenal FC supporter. Barba is said to have been on a few dates with Denise. "It's early days but everything is going really well and Denise is happy," a source had told the Daily Mail.

Posting a series of pictures from the event on Instagram, friends and fans soon reacted. "Oh babe!!! You look absolutely stunning," said actress Catherine Tyldesley. Nicole Appleton also joined in the chat. The All Saints star wrote simply: "Oh wow!!!" Jimmy Barba himself added: "What an amazing evening. Thank you."

Fans added: "That’s some upgrade. Love it x." While another said: "Beautiful and full of sparkles!!" with a third commenting: "Glad you’ve found happiness." The post has clocked up some 6k likes and over 200 comments.
