"Leave a comment below if this sounds like you and feel free to tag anyone who would be perfect."
Producer, Erica Von Stein, specified several targeted locations - including Liverpool.
She said: "I'm looking to have chats with hilarious families / couples / groups of friends from LIVERPOOL, BRADFORD, DEWSBURY, SHEFFIELD and surrounding areas for an upcoming series of Gogglebox.
"Please tag the funniest people you know particularly interested in speaking to diverse groups who are underrepresented. Get in touch!"
According to show insiders, during each season of filming the stars are expected to commit to 12 hours of filming a week, which they usually do across two six-hour shifts.
This means most of the cast film in between working full time or part-time jobs.
Gogglebox creators start shooting on a Friday and film throughout the week.
They spend the first four days assessing and cutting material, with a lot of what is recorded cut from the final product - reports Closer.
After working out which material they're going to use, the show's creators begin piecing the episode together just three days before the show airs, working through Tuesday afternoon, all day Wednesday, and throughout Wednesday night.
On Thursday afternoon, they finalise the episode and have Craig Cash do the voiceover and the episode is done.
