Gogglebox fans were surprised to see an unexpected extra cast member join the show this week as another member of the Worthington family appeared on the sofa.
Fans of the Channel 4 show tuning in on Friday night were surprised to see Helena Worthington’s rarely seen son, Erwin, return to the screen.
The Manchester-based family were sat down to watch and review the past week of TV with the usual family members there; Helena and her parents Alison and George.
But during the course of the show, an extra family member made their way in front of the cameras too as Erwin joined the family to watch scenes of recent reality show The Piano.
Fans took to social media to express their surprise at seeing Erwin on screen - noting that he had not featured on the show in years.
The toddler had previously appeared on the show as a baby, when Helena had been seen cradling him when he was tiny.
Taking to social media, fans expressed their surprise at just how quick Helena’s little boy had grown.
One fan tweeted: “I'm sure Helena's wee boy was a tiny baby last I looked! He's so cute. #Gogglebox.”
Another viewer expressed their shock at how fan the child was growing, writing: “No I’m sorry I refuse to believe that’s Irvin! [Erwin] Helena was only pregnant not that long ago wth!?,
And another tweeted: “So seems I did not get the memo re Helena's gorgeous boy #normalnicehaircut ??”
Helena gave birth to her son in August 2019 - and she was praised by fans when she was shown breast feeding him as a baby on the show.
The reality star has granted fans even more access to her life beyond her scenes on Gogglebox by sharing posts and videos of her home life via social media.
Many snaps have shown Helena relaxing at home with her son and surrounded by plants.
While Helena has embraced involving her son on Gogglebox, she has previously explained that fans should not expect to see Erwin’s father on-screen.
The star, who joined Gogglebox in 2017, has previously explained that she is fiercely private about some aspects of her personal life.
Helena wrote online: “FYI – not that this should matter! I am not 18 I am 29 and my baby does have a father, but I wish to keep that side of my life private.
