Gogglebox fans get closer look inside Pete and Sophie Sandiford's home with incredible 'illusion'

Many Brits love to settle down and enjoy an hour of Gogglebox on a Friday evening, laughing along with the show's stars and judging the week's TV. And, with so many familiar faces on the show, it can be nice to get a glimpse into their lives.

Series regulars, Pete and Sophie Sandiford, are two of the most popular Goggleboxers - with the latter having a whopping 595,000 followers on Instagram. Fans love to take a look at Sophie's life away from the camera, as she shares sweet snaps of her homelife.

When we see them on the TV, Sophie and Pete seem to be crammed into a small corner of their living room, giving the impression that they live in a modest home. However, if Sophie's Instagram posts are anything to go by, this could all be an illusion.

In fact, it would appear that the Sandiford's home is bigger than they have let on. Sophie has shared various photos of the now-famous living room on her social media accounts, showing it from different angles and revealing its true size, the LiverpoolEcho reports.

And it is not just the room itself that is larger than it seems, as the grey sofa - usually occupied by Pete - is also a huge and comfy thing. Gogglebox viewers are so used to seeing Pete cosied up at one end, but Sophie shared a photo of Pete sprawled out on the large sofa.

The rustic grey brick-effect wall can be seen in the background and the walls also appear to be much taller than we have seen on Gogglebox, which suggests that the Sandiford home has higher ceilings than viewers may have realised. And the final thing in the duo's living room that is bigger than we may have thought, is the TV itself.

In another post, Sophie shared a clip of her and Pete watching, er, her and Pete. The inception-style Insta post showed the telly in full display, an essential bit of kit for Sophie and Pete's profession, of course.

Potentially one of the more lavish rooms in the house is the kitchen. This part of the house is never shown during the show, but Sophie has posted a series of videos and pictures of Pete fooling around in the kitchen. The room is modern, with a large grey fridge-freezer fitted with a water dispenser on the door.

Other appliances include a double oven and fitted lights illuminating the white cupboards, along with sleek counter tops. There is even a breakfast bar in the middle of the large space, with matching stools dotted around it.

And, for breakfast with a view, the breakfast bar also looks out onto the garden through the large French doors and windows.

The siblings' claim to fame - aside from their actual fame - has to be their vast collection of novelty mugs. While fans of the show may have been keeping track of how many they've seen on the show, Sophie revealed all with a picture of their dedicated mug cupboard.

Bursting at the hinges, the cupboard contains brightly coloured, whacky shaped animal mugs. Sophie wrote on one of her posts how the mug collection had gotten so out of hand the pair have sacrificed a cupboard or two just to house them.

Adding in the caption she wrote: "Another cupboard sacrificed for the mug collection... who needs food cupboards anyway."
