Gogglebox fans concerned for Pete Sandiford as Channel 4 show issues warning

Channel 4's Gogglebox issued a safety warning to viewers after Pete Sandiford concerned fans with an Easter egg opening hack.

The Blackpool lad, who became a dad last year, stars on the hit series with his sister Sophie. In the latest episode, as the pair cracked open their Easter treats, Pete, 28, told her he had a clever way of opening up a chocolate egg.

But his 'hack' did not go according to plan. His unusual method of cracking open the chocolate left his sister in stitches and viewers concerned, Birmingham Live reports.

Holding up an egg wrapped in a golden wrapper, Pete explained: "Did you know the way to open an Easter egg is to smash it off your head? You just hit the pointy bit off your head."

Telling his sister "watch this", Pete lifted the egg and smashed it against his forehead with a loud thud. As Sophie began laughing, Pete grabbed his head in agony.

Sophie told him: "I think I've got a fractured skull just from watching you."

The Gogglebox Twitter account posted the clip, warning viewers: "DON'T TRY THIS AT HOME". Fans had voiced their concerns after watching the moment between the siblings.

One said: "Pete really smashed the Easter egg against his head? #Gogglebox". Another viewer added: "Hurt my head just watching it lol".

A third said: "Tried it once, learned my lesson not to try and hit it off my head," and a fourth added: "I felt that. Ouch." "Pass Pete some paracetamol", another added.
