Gogglebox star Ellie Warner has revealed she's set to become a mum for the first time after a rollercoaster year which saw her beloved boyfriend Nat Eddleston fighting for his life.
During Friday night's instalment of the hit Channel 4 programme, Ellie turned to her sister Izzie as she shared a snap of her ultrasound scan.
"I went for a scan on Saturday," she said while showing a picture taken from the scan of her child, before both sisters chuckled as Ellie said: "It looks like a jellied alien!"
Ellie continued: "When I showed mum the picture she said 'Oh can I take a picture' and you didn't even look at it for two minutes," to which Izzie responded: "I did! I told you where the things were, I'll stare at it a bit longer just to make you happy."
Ellie and Nat's relationship has gone from strength to strength after she hinted she wanted to marry her boyfriend of three years in a recent episode of Gogglebox.
The news is certainly set to thrill Ellie and her partner Nat who was left fighting for his life after a traumatic accident when he was hit by a car in March this year.
Nat was left needing treatment in intensive care after suffering from a broken neck, back and both his lungs collapsing as a result of his injuries.
After being admitted to the hospital, he was placed on life support with those closest to him initially fearing the worst but he was later discharged after making a full recovery.
Ellie had previously spoken about wedding plans with boyfriend Nat during her return to the Channel 4 show after his horrific accident.
The Gogglebox favourite joked about her partner's desire for a 'shotgun wedding' and even spoke to Nat on the phone, as she sat alongside sister Izzi during her TV comeback.
The Leeds-based star had been absent from the award-winning telly-watching show from March until May, following her partner being involving in accident that left him with life-threatening injuries.
After discussing Nat's plans for a 'shotgun' wedding with her sister Izzi, Ellie then went on to call her boyfriend - putting him on loud speaker as she joked with her partner seemingly not knowing a shotgun wedding means the bride is pregnant.
"I said to Nat this morning, when we get married what type of wedding do you want? And he went: 'A shotgun wedding!" Ellie recalled to sister Izzi.
She continued: "So I said 'ooo does that mean you want me to be pregnant before we get married?' and he said 'no'. I actually want to know what he thought a shotgun wedding was.
Ellie then went on to call Nat to ask him to elaborate, with Nat admitting he thought the term meant the groom was "forced to get married" - with the two sisters laughing at his revelation.
