A Gogglebox couple took to Twitter when their holiday to Spain became a ‘shambles’ with them unable to even flush the loo. Dave and Shirley Griffiths have been on a break and have been sharing pictures of their resort in Salou, on the Costa Dorada, Spain.
But the hotel was hit by some serious issues which left them unable to get food after a power cut. Dave wrote on Twitter to holiday company TUI: “@TUIUK what’s happening at the hotel h10 vintage Salou all the electricity is off no water no toilets no food, can’t even flush the toilet rep doesn’t have no idea it’s a shambles its been off since 2 o clock this afternoon now 11.30 and still not sorted.”
The Welsh couple, who have appeared on the Channel 4 show since 2015, jetted off on holiday late last month and many took to Twitter to show them support. TUI responded to the couple 24 hours later in a tweet which read: “Hi Dave, I am sorry to hear there is an issue in resort. As you are in resort we are unable to assist further and would direct you to call our 24/7 holiday line who will be able to advise further. The number is +44 (0) 3333 365147. Thank you, Tamara“.
