Daniel Levy has been told what he will need to do to help Antonio Conte find success at Tottenham and even lead them to a league title.
The Italian has a history of success, winning league titles at Chelsea, Juventus and Inter Milan, so there is hope he can do the same in N17.
Spurs have already seen improvements both on and off the pitch under Conte and should this success continue, fans will want him to lead his side to victory in ending their almost 14-year trophy drought.
The Lilywhites are currently seventh in the league but just two points behind fourth-placed Man United and with two games in hand, so the battle for a top four spot is still on.
Former England international, Paul Parker, has already given his verdict on the 52-year-old's success.
"Conte is really a modern day manager who wins things," Parker said, when speaking to BonusCodeBets. "He doesn't tell people he wins things, everybody knows he does. Not like the other fellow [referring to Jose Mourinho] who was manager of Spurs.
"With Conte, you cannot rule out that fourth spot for Tottenham. He's made a difference already, dealing with a lot of average footballers and he's managed to get them in a groove together," he added.
Parker found success in his own career, winning various titles during his years at Man United and winning ways is something Spurs will hope to get back to sooner rather than later.
If Tottenham do manage to secure a place inside the top four by the end of he season, they will return to Champions League football, which they have missed out on since their defeat in the final in 2019.
This will not only give the club and fans a boost as well as help on the financial side, it will also help attract players to make the move to north London during the summer transfer window.
There were departures on deadline day as Giovani Lo Celso, Bryan Gil and Tanguy Ndombele all made temporary exits, whilst Dele Alli was the only permanent first team move.
The Lilywhites also saw two new arrivals on deadline day, as Rodrigo Bentancur and Dejan Kulusevski both made the move from Juventus.
However, the issues of a right wing-back and another striker were still not solved in the winter window and are likely to be positions to target when given the next opportunity.
Parker went on to explain what would be in store for Levy, if Tottenham do finish fourth in the league.
"God help Daniel Levy if Tottenham get into a Champions League spot because then he'll be going into a firepit because Conte then will be saying what he wants to go out and compete in the Champions League but more importantly to go out and win the Premier League title for Tottenham," the 57-year-old said.
"When you've got Conte as your manager and you can give him the tools to win the league, his record says that he goes and does it."
Spurs waited until the final day of the January transfer window to get their deals done and there is now a number of months that can be used to prepare for the next window.
The winter window highlighted that the Italian isn't afraid to see players out the door who aren't in his plans at Spurs and he now has a solid period of time to help the Lilywhites finish this campaign strong and prepare for his first full season in N17.
"I think we can dismiss this season but the following season is where you can judge him. Tottenham under him will be competing for the Premier League," Parker added.
Man City already have a nine point lead at the top of the table but more time with his current squad and some potential new additions ahead of the next season could help Conte lead his new side to some much needed silverware, but he will need the backing of Levy to do so.
