PANAJI: The SIT probing the state's land scam has arrested Steven D'Souza, the sixth person to be arrested since the team was formed, said crime branch SP Nidhin Valsan.
"D'Souza, resident of Dona Paula, has been arrested," said Valsan, adding that he is an accomplice of "mastermind accused" Mohammad Suhail, who was earlier arrested. "D'Souza was involved with Suhail in preparing fake documents of properties, and some of the properties illegally grabbed have been transferred in his and his grandfather's names," he said.
