PANAJI: Popular for its music parties, Goa’s coastal belt will go silent post 10pm as the state government has decided to crack down heavily on restaurants, shacks, and other outdoor venues that have been playing loud music beyond the stipulated deadline.
On Monday, Sawant held a review meeting with Goa police over the law and order issue. Sawant emphasised that loud outdoor music has to be stopped at 10pm in the coastal belt in view of the upcoming board exams. “I have given instructions to close down only outdoor parties, while indoor clubs and party venues will continue to operate,” Sawant told TOI.
