Good Morning Britain viewers were disgusted as they tuned into the latest episode of the ITV show and witnessed an interview with a 100-year-old war veteran.
Jan Stangryciuk was robbed of his war medals, jewellery and thousands of pounds in cash after conmen tricked their way into his home.
The elderly man was targeted by three men claiming to be from a water company and said "it was a horrific shock".
GMB hosts Ed Balls and Ranvir Singh invited Jan into the ITV studio to discuss his ordeal alongside a male friend of his.
Jan explained: "Yes it was a terrific shock for my wife, and of course it was a shock for me.
"I thought the people who commit that crime probably should have had more respect for my old age," he added.
Viewers tuning in at home couldn't believe what they were hearing and took to Twitter to comment.
One person posted: "That's disgusting that. Some people are just cruel horrible people #GMB."
Another tweeted: "Robbing a man who’s a 100 years old of his medals. Couldn’t stoop any lower. Scum. #gmb
A third person fumed: "Poor Jan, there are some right evil b*stards out there. #gmb," and a fourth said: "Imagine risking your life for this country and this is how society repays you. Sad times! #gmb."
