Good Morning Britain viewers have complained after ambient music played over an NHS strike debate on Monday morning.
ITV hosts Charlotte Hawkins and Adil Ray welcomed Dr Vivek Trivedi, an BMA junior doctors committee co-chair, onto the show to discuss how low pay and hectic working conditions are forcing doctors to leave their beloved profession.
However, while the young doctor was discussing the dire situation in the NHS, he was cut off as classical music began playing over him.
The sound was suddenly interrupted, silencing the presenters and Dr Vivek for several minutes before the issue was fixed.
Naturally, Good Morning Britain viewers who were hooked to what the junior doctor was saying, were annoyed that they missed out on a huge chunk of his opinion due to the mysterious sound issues.
Taking to Twitter, they shared their annoyance as one complained: "So when the junior doctor on #GMB starts talking facts and talking about junior doctor realities they silence him and play the PlayStation loading music?! @GMB conveniently comes back to normal when world cup is being discussed."
"GMB you have just had a technical error with some music playing during your interview with the doctor," another tweeted.
"Bit strange that music is playing over the doctor while speaking? Can't help but think this is not a mistake," someone else suggested.
While a fourth tweeted: "What's going on on Good Morning Britain!!!!"
Elsewhere, some viewers demanded that the interview be repeated.
One person tweeted: "Any chance of repeating the interview with the Doctor, so we can hear it? And not some meditation music."
While another added: "Can the doctor REPEAT his whole speech? We didn't hear it!!!"
Later on in the programme, Charlotte addressed the issue, explaining that only viewers in the London region were affected.
"We have to issue an apology actually because viewers in the London region may have experienced some sound issues," she said.
