Good Morning Britain viewers have been left divided as presenters on the show discussed the idea of having a four-day school week. A petition is set to be debated in parliament today on a four-day week for kids.
During Monday’s show guests discussed the matter along with hosts Susanna Reid and Adil Ray. One guest on the ITV programme, author Marvyn Harrison, who is also a host of a parenting podcast and a dad, was in favour of changing the school week.
He said: “If you look at the statistics, one in six young people say they need the break because they are having mental health challenges. We’ve really got to consider what they need and as adults not create a world which is just for us.”
