Good Morning Britain’s Susanna Reid made a rare comment on her life away from the spotlight.
The TV presenter opened up about the downside of fame and revealed that she prefers to keep her private life off-screen. During today's episode of the breakfast show Susanna and co-host Richard Madeley were joined by Hollywood actress Hayley Mills and Leeds comedian Keith Lemon to discuss the Academy Awards slap scandal.
The award show was thrown into chaos as Will Smith's violent outburst left everyone gobsmacked after he slapped Chris Rock for making a joke about his wife, Jada Pinkett Smith. The intense moment all happened after Chris made an inappropriate gag about Jada’s short haircut.

The Red Table Talk host has previously spoken about her struggles with alopecia and said it is what prompted her to shave her head. Referring to Pinkett Smith’s buzzcut, Rock said: "Jada, can’t wait for GI Jane 2", prompting the actress to roll her eyes.
However, Will walked up on stage and appeared to slap Chris before returning to his seat and shouting twice: “Keep my wife’s name out of your f****** mouth”. Discussing the recent event Susanna went on to reveal the downside of being in the public eye and admitted you “lose privacy.”
Susanna went on to say: "There's also the issue when you're that famous, Hollywood famous, like Will Smith, about how much privacy you lose. They've made a decision, Jada has a podcast where she talks very openly about their personal life, their marriage, their children but of course that opens up the doors into your life. How do you close them off again? It takes its toll."
Keith then asked the mum-of-three if she liked being famous, to which she replied: "I love what I do. I don't consider myself famous and I'm very, very private about my life. I don't expose my private life because I don't like that part of it." Keith went on to share his opinion on the whole slap gate situation.
As expected the comedian made light of the situation and threw in a few jokes, however viewers were baffled by the star's appearance during the award segment as they asked “what has he got to do with the Oscars?”
@Andrewclink7 Tweeted: “Why is Keith Lemon there ? #gmb.” @GOMDT1981 asked : “#gmb wtf has Keith Lemon got to do with the Oscars?”
@friedeggbeats commented: “So #GMB have got Keith Lemon passing judgement on Will Smith slapping Chris Rock at the Oscars.” @ShrewdTo0ts said: “Keith Lemon on to discuss the Oscars. This is absolutely f******g pathetic.”
While @stryder444 added: “Keith Lemon to talk about the Oscars? They've really bought in the big hitters.”
