GMB's Laura Tobin warns of another storm for UK after Dudley and Eunice

Laura Tobin has told Good Morning Britain to keep an eye on the forecast and follow the latest advice, as there could be another storm on the way for the UK, hours after Storm Dudley caused widespread issues and with Eunice on the way.

While some communities are still dealing with the impact of Storm Arwen at the end of last year, Dudley hit late on Wednesday afternoon, with regions including North East England seeing disruption to train travel due to fallen objects and reduced speed limits; roads closed and thousands of homes suffering a loss of power.

GMB weather host Laura discussed the problems caused by Storm Dudley on Thursday's show, telling presenters Ben Shephard and Kate Garraway: "With the torrential rainfall in Yorkshire, we had rivers bursting their banks and we're likely to see flood alerts and warnings rising through the next 24 hours with yet more rain on the way."

Photos emerged of a trampoline bringing a train to a standstill on Wednesday after it blew onto the line and Laura remarked: "We talk about trampolines, I guess, in a bit of a jokey way, but the winds were so powerful yesterday that they lifted up a trampoline with one hitting a train just outside Cardiff station and it was stranded for two hours."

Laura told viewers that they needed to check their train journeys before travelling as there may well be disruptions and then, in a weather forecast a few minutes later, she predicted another storm could be on the horizon.

She started with some bad news for viewers in the north on Friday, with a forecast of "blustery showers and snow fall," and temperatures of just 2 or 3 degrees.

Laura told those watching that there'd be "a bit of a breather on Saturday," before adding: "Another storm is set to develop on Sunday and this could be our next named storm; this is one that we are watching very closely.

"Really the advice is to stay tuned to the forecast.

"It's quite unusual for me to give so much detail for the forecast a day or two ahead, but, at the moment, its stormy weather moving from tonight into tomorrow that will be very disruptive."
