Good Morning Britain viewers were thrilled as "breath of fresh air" Rob Rinder replaced Richard Madeley on the show.
During Tuesday’s instalment of the hit ITV breakfast show, the telly judge stood in for Richard alongside Charlotte Hawkins who covered Susanna Reid’s spot.
The major format change came as the two regulars took a break from the show. Richard usually presents on a Monday but Rob has been fronting the show for the last two mornings.
Richard announced he was taking a break from GMB last week on Wednesday (August 11). He told viewers he won't be on the show "for a while" but didn't specify how long this would be.
Rob made a welcome comeback after a long absence from the ITV morning show having last sat in the hot seat in March alongside Susanna Reid. Legendary broadcaster Susanna is currently enjoying her long summer break and is due to return in September.
But it appears viewers of the show were thrilled with the presenter switch up as they rushed to Twitter to share their reactions.
The TV lawyer’s return to screens prompted fans to make him a permanent presenting fixture.
One fan wrote: "#gmb can you please keep Rob Rinder?"
Another fan tweeted: "@GMB YAY Rob Rinder is back! Sooooo happy, love it when he is on. He's the best.”
A third said: "I like Rob Rinder. Funny, empathetic bit takes no sh** #gmb," while another echoed the sentiment: "Agree, be good if he was a regular presenter."
GMB fans praised inspirational rower Erin Kennedy who led her team to victory in the middle of cancer treatment in Munich over the weekend - just three months on from being diagnosed with breast cancer at the age of 29.
The sports star, 30, appeared on the ITV show to discuss winning gold alongside Britain’s para rowers at the multi-sport European Championships.
Viewers watching at home were in awe, with many taking to social media to share their thoughts on Erin's interview shortly after it aired.
