KOLKATA: Eastern Railway general manager Arun Arora put maximum impetus on safety aspects and passenger amenities of the railway operations during his annual inspection of the Sealdah-Gede section on Sunday.
Arora inspected various stations and railway establishments of the section and took special care while inspecting the condition of safety gears, track, car sheds, overhead equipment depots, track machines, route relay interlocking systems, points and crossings, signaling gears, passenger amenities and facilities, station buildings, railway colonies, and health units at Dum Dum Jn., Barrackpore, Jagaddal Naihati, Kalyani, Ranaghat and Gede stations. Shri Arora also inaugurated a renovated RPF barrack and crew running room at Dum Dum Jn.
