Gloucestershire healthtech strikes deal for digital health firm

A healthtech in Gloucestershire has acquired a digital healthcare firm for an undisclosed sum through its Canadian parent company. Cirencester-based Intouch with Health agreed the deal for ADI Health via North American owner VitalHub - a software for health business.

ADI Health will join the existing VitalHub UK group of health-tech companies, which comprises Intouch with Health; Transforming Systems; Synopsis; Beautiful Information; MCAP; Alamac; Jayex Acute; S12 Solutions; and Hicom.

Intouch with Health was established in 1999 and specialises in delivering IT-based patient flow management solutions to help hospitals and private healthcare providers in the UK and internationally. Its platform currently processes more than 30 million NHS outpatient appointments every year and supports more than 110 NHS hospitals, according to its website.

Mike Sanders, VitalHub UK chief executive, said the acquisition would "further enhance" the group's portfolio of digital healthcare solutions.

“We are pleased to have completed the acquisition of ADI Health, as VitalHub continues its mission to create an eco-system of digital healthcare solutions that simplify the complexity of data integration in planned and unplanned care," he said.

ADI Health was founded in 2005 has developed an app called MyPathway which connects patients to care services in areas including muscular-skeletal, chronic pain, motor neurone disease and eating disorders.

Judith Clarkson, commercial director at ADI Health, said the deal to join VitalHub presented "an exciting opportunity" to develop and expand the company's products and services for patients and clinicians.

"We believe this will enable us to continue our vision to provide equal, immediate and lifelong access to patient healthcare information, support and tools, throughout every step of the patient’s journey," she added

VitalHub UK said ADI Health's MyPathway app would allow it to communicate with patients in their own homes, in their own time.
