Gloucester Road closed as Bristol Rovers celebrations pour onto the streets

Gloucester Road is currently closed after being completely blocked following citywide celebrations in Bristol tonight.

Bristol Rovers thrashed Scunthorpe United 7-0 to win an automatic promotion into League One. After a final whistle pitch invasion, fans have taken the celebrations into the streets.

Pictures taken on Gloucester Road show a large number of revellers celebrating in the aftermath of the Gas' extraordinary success, with a sizeable police presence in the area keeping order.

It is reported that the road is closed from Ash Road North.
