Global Tech Outage Temporarily Affects MTA Customer Information Systems

Planes resume flights following an FAA system outage at Laguardia Airport in New York

The global tech outage on Friday morning caused some Metropolitan Transportation Authority (MTA) customer information systems to go temporarily offline, according to officials.

The MTA reassured the public that despite the disruption in customer information systems, train and bus services remain unaffected. The MTA advised passengers to stay informed by listening for announcements in stations, on trains, or on buses.
