Global Market: Standard Chartered partners with BlackRock to launch APAC multi-asset fund for wealth clients

Standard Chartered has partnered with BlackRock to launch a new Asia Pacific-focused multi-asset investment fund aimed at investors seeking diversified exposure across the region. According to a statement from the bank on Monday, the new offering is designed to provide a balanced investment strategy spanning multiple asset classes.

The fund, named Signature Select APAC Allocation Plus, will invest across equities, fixed income and liquid alternative assets, offering investors diversified access to Asia-Pacific markets through a single investment vehicle.

Focus on Long-Term Growth and Income

The fund has been structured with the objective of delivering long-term capital appreciation while also generating income for investors. Reuters reported that the strategy is intended to cater to investors looking for a combination of growth potential and regular returns amid evolving market conditions across the Asia-Pacific region.

BlackRock, the world's largest asset manager, will serve as the sub-manager of the fund, bringing its investment management expertise to the portfolio.

Available to Wealth Management Clients

According to Reuters, the fund will be offered exclusively to accredited and professional investors through Standard Chartered's wealth management business. Eligible clients will include those in the bank's Priority, Priority Private and Private Banking segments.

The initial rollout will cover Hong Kong, Singapore, the United Arab Emirates, Jersey, Malaysia, Kenya and Nigeria, with the bank planning to expand availability to additional markets over time.

Launched Under Variable Capital Company Platform

Reuters reported that the fund has been established under Standard Chartered's Variable Capital Company (VCC) platform, providing a flexible structure for investment products while leveraging BlackRock's portfolio management capabilities.

The partnership reflects Standard Chartered's continued focus on expanding its wealth management offerings and providing clients with diversified investment solutions tailored to long-term investment objectives across Asia-Pacific markets.
