Japanese government bonds rallied on Thursday as a U.S. Treasury move to support longer-dated debt eased pressure across global bond markets and offered some relief to investors worried about rising borrowing costs, Reuters reported.
The benchmark 10-year JGB yield fell 5.5 basis points to 2.835%, while the 20-year yield declined 8.5 basis points to 3.690%. Bond yields move inversely to prices.
