European shares edged lower on Friday as a sharp decline in luxury goods group Kering weighed on the market, while rising oil prices and political uncertainty in France kept investors cautious, according to a report by Reuters.
The pan-European STOXX 600 index fell 0.13% to 636.50 points by 0718 GMT, extending losses after recording its biggest one-day decline in three weeks on Thursday. The benchmark was on track to post a weekly decline as investors assessed corporate earnings alongside mounting economic and political risks.
