Glenn Schumann returning to Georgia after interviewing for Eagles’ defensive coordinator job

The Eagles’ search for a new defensive coordinator appears to have two final candidates after Glenn Schumann decided to return to the University of Georgia according to ESPN’s Chris Low.

Schumann was co-defensive coordinator for the Bulldogs and called plays last year for two-time defending champs.

Georgia can breathe a sigh of relief after having already lost offensive coordinator Todd Monken to the Baltimore Ravens.

Head coach Nick Sirianni went the college route on several interviews, having conversations with Michigan’s Jesse Minter and former Wisconsin interim coach Jim Leonhard.

The Eagles have yet to make a hire to replace Jonathan Gannon, who never left Arizona after the Super Bowl, accepting the Cardinals head coaching job.

Seahawks assistant head coach Sean Desai was in Philadelphia on Monday for his second interview as the organization works for a final decision.
