Glen Powell is set to return to college in a new Hulu comedy series titled Chad Powers. The show follows the story of a disgraced college football quarterback who reinvents himself and joins another school's team. Powell, known for his roles in Anyone but You and the upcoming Twisters, co-created the series with Michael Waldron, the mastermind behind Loki and the next two Avengers movies.
The inspiration for Chad Powers came from an episode of ESPN+'s Eli's Places, where former NFL quarterback Eli Manning went incognito as a walk-on prospect named Chad Powers at Penn State. Powell and Waldron expressed their enthusiasm for college football and were captivated by Manning's portrayal, leading them to develop a comedic narrative around the character.
