Glen Kamara brands Rangers star 'maestro' as midfielder nears Finland landmark cap

Glen Kamara has revealed the Rangers squad call veteran Steven Davis 'maestro' and hailed the influence of the Northern Ireland international.

Davis, the most capped British player of all-time, is currently out with a long injury that was a blow to Michael Beale and the Rangers squad. The 37-year-old, however, insisted he would come back stronger with the intention to keep on playing for both club and country. Davis' deal is up in the summer at Ibrox alongside fellow stalwarts Ryan Jack and Scott Arfield.

But for Kamara, who has made a handful of appearances from the start since Beale's arrival, is well thought of for his country as he closes in on his own landmark of 50 caps for Finland. The Fins will face off with Northern Ireland on Sunday in crucial EURO 2024 qualifying and the 27-year-old insists he's gutted he won't go up against his Ibrox pal that has had a huge influence on his career.
