Glen Hansard and Imelda May lead a chorus of hundreds of Dubs singing 'Fairytale of New York' at their Christmas busk outside the Gaiety Theatre.
The touching scene was captured by Dublin Live as we took a stroll around the city on Christmas Eve. Up to 1,000 people were gathered outside the Gaiety to witness Glen's annual Christmas busk return in-person after a Covid-enforced break for the last two years.
A number of top Dublin voices will once again take to the streets tonight for the first time since 2019, with the like of Bono, Hozier, and Sinead O'Connor all having popped into town over the years. Glen, Bono, and a number of others performed virtual busks for the last two years thanks to Covid-19.
All money raised at the busk will be donated to the Simon Community to help Dublin's homeless. Glen and Imelda also performed the tune on last Friday's Late Late Show.
