Glaswegian sells rare 50p coin featuring Paddington Bear for £1,500 on eBay

A local online seller has listed a rare 50p coin - and it's just sold for quite an eye-watering sum.

The Paddington Bear coin from 2019, said to come from a Glasgow seller, was auctioned on eBay on Monday, February 13, with the 50p fetching £1,500.

The coin said to be the 14th rarest 50p, with the one listed featuring the famous bear, known for his love of marmalade sandwiches, standing outside Buckingham Palace and waving a Union Jack flag.
